This our second attempt at a heather bed to provide spring forage for the bees.  Learning from past mistakes the heathers have been planted into weed-matting to cut down the maintenance required.  We also have Helleborus niger at the front and Helleborus foetidus at the back, along with a couple of Manuka trees (Leptospermum scoparium).  All good bee plants.

Behind the heather bed are piles of logs to provide hiding and basking places for wildlife.
