If you would like to join us as a producer come along to the market one Friday and
ask any of the producers to introduce you to the market manager. You will find us
helpful and encouraging.
The usual procedure for someone who wishes to join us is for them to serve at the
market for a couple of weeks first. This allows you to see if you are really prepared
to make the commitment. At the same time you get the chance to observe exactly what
goods people are bringing in so that you can look out for a niche that you can fill.
We are always on the lookout for new producers. The better the range of products
we offer, the more attractive the market will be to shoppers. Ideally we need people
who are going to offer something new to the market. It improves our range and maximises
our sales. In practice, this usually means observing what other people bring in
and looking for opportunities to produce new variations.

Country Markets have a formula to help Members work out a fair selling price,
that also gives a good return for their hard work.
A small commission (currently 10%) is taken from the selling price of the goods,
to cover market running expenses, and the rest is paid back to the Producer
at the end of the month.
Producers are expected to help with the market each Friday. This is a commitment.
